Philosophy and metaphysics are like art; there's no science behind them, they make people feel important, and they impact absolutely nothing real. That's exactly why they avoid dealing with things that are quite real. I dunno man, my ego ain't big enough for that shit.

On the contrary, Diogenes himself shat on a lot of contemporary thought and was quite humble. I don't think you need to be egotistical to recognize what merit, if any, some idle thought might have.
