I'm not arguing that we shouldn't have nations - we should. (And they should probably be smaller.)

We should also honor the humanity of others because in it we honor the image of God that they bear.

However, we shouldn't pretend that all belief systems are equal. They're not.

Can you (I mean you personally) exchange goods and services with people who don't share your beliefs? Assuming they've proven to act in good faith and for mutual benefit. Does their belief system enter into your decision?

And should individuals have the right to associate with whomever they wish for whatever reason they wish?

Those two questions seem to be fundemental to a nation-state.
