Who has young kids around 6? What wallet do you use for their allowance/Bitcoin?
I'm looking for something that I can show them as theirs but it would be on my phone.

Is it custodial
you can do it either non-custodial or custodial.
non-custodial options would be NWC+AlbyHub or connecting it to a lnbits instance if you have your own node with lightning.
Itβs super fun, donβt treat it as the main wallet, but just for chores. My kid is 4 and he already tells people he only wants real money π
You can't over complicate it at that age. The idea is that you set it up and they don't have to deal with balancing channels, which is complex for most adults already
Here few suggestions:
"Self custody" (no node control):
1. Pure Bitcoin
Phoenix or Misty Beez
2. Hybrid with USDT
Aqua Wallet
3. Minibits (ecash) you will save tons in fees and they get as well their personal address for a cheap price if you want to make your life easier.
Non Custodial (considering the use, is not a bad choice for now):
1. Wallet of Satoshi
When my kids were a bit younger, we were using Blue Wallet with their Sovereign Craft (Bitcoin in Minecraft) wallet connected via LNDHub.
That was before NWC was a thing, and before I was confident enough to host their wallets on my own node. Now I have each of them a sub-wallet on Alby Hub that is connected to Alby Go on their device.

Mine is 7 and has been using Zeus connected to LnBits (lndhub) connected to my own node on BTC Pay.
6 and 8 - i use sparrow cold storage for them and coinos for a spending wallet.

This gives them something they can see any time they want, plus you can add those wallets to your Alby go app so they can see it on your phone.
They absolutely love it.

Can you access from your phone and show them they get paid? Or computer only?
LNBits standard interface is via browser, so any device. Also has a PWA.
I love this.
My son is a teenager now, but back in the day, he used this. It came with an opendime.
