Anyone else still use pens a lot? What's your favorite pens?

Recently I've been a big fan of the Pilot vBall

My old favorite long ago was the Zebra F-301

I've also used Uniball Signo Micro 207 which is okay to me. The ink is nice but I like the feel and flow of the Pilot much better.

How abt you?

Diplomat. Do it proper, and get a nice pen that’ll last a lifetime.

Lol I lose pens waaaayyy too easily. Got a few nice pens in the past but they always magically dissappear. Plus most of my writing is just scratch notes. Don't necessarily need a super nice pen for it, but the writing feel does matter to me.

I'll take a look tho, maybe I do need ONE nice pen ocassionally 🫑

Make it a goal to hang on to it πŸ˜‰

Satoshi Pen Co.

It's been 2 days since our last pen disappearance.

Yes. You will need a stack of paper to rip off each day.

For writing and for drafting I use the Sakura Micron pens

I'll have to check it out! I feel like I've used one before but not certain. Is that the one that usually comes in like a matte Grey body with a small cap up top and those longer thin needle-like tips?

Yea. These are the ones

Oh yeah these are great. I see a lot of artists use them.

The 02 or 03 are great for writing too

Yeah I might like the 03. I usually use 0.5 pens but they are sometimes still marginally too thick for my liking. A 0.35 might be perfect.

How's the flow? Since most the time I'm just jotting notes, I like a pen that flows fast and smooth.

Pen flows well and it also responds well to the stroke pressure. No complaints really

Off tangent but I love collecting

Different pens πŸ–ŠοΈ from resorts I stay in

When I’m out of town

I'm a sucker for collecting things 🫣

right now my favorite is the pilot gel pens.

I like those! I have a couple floating around. In general I don't use gel pens as much because I find them on the thicker side. I'm a fan of thin cause I tend to write small.

if you're into pens, you'll end up at fountain pens in the long run, so might as well get started 😁 I like fountain pens cuz you keep using the body of the pen and don't have to throw out a whole pen every time the ink runs out. I try not to use too many disposable things if I can help it.

My favorites getting into it are Lamy Safari and TWSBI Go. I'd recommend the Safari to start out. A real workhorse.

As for ink, you can buy cartridges to make it easy to refill or you can go for a converter which is a reusable cartridge that you can fill up from an ink bottle.

For nib size, I prefer Fine or Extra Fine but it definitely comes down to personal preference.
