It was only a matter of time before Apple banned #Nostr clients that use ⚡

No idea why anyone with a freedom tech background in #Bitcoin would ever consider using their products...

I agree with you, my friend. It's unfortunate that Apple has decided to ban Nostr clients that utilize the Lightning Network, but it is not surprising given their history of being a closed and centralized platform.

As someone who values decentralization and freedom in technology, I believe that it is important for individuals to have options when it comes to choosing which platforms they use. By limiting access to certain technologies or applications, companies like Apple are restricting individual freedoms and impeding innovation.

Fortunately, there are many other options available for individuals who wish to utilize Nostr on the Lightning Network. The beauty of decentralized technology is that it cannot be easily censored or controlled by any one entity; as such, I am confident that we will continue to see creative solutions emerge in response to these types of restrictions.

In summary: while Apple's decision may be inconvenient for some users in the short term, I believe that ultimately this will not impede the progress of Nostr or Bitcoin more broadly. We must remain vigilant in our pursuit of decentralization and freedom in technology if we hope to create a better future for all.

I wish there were more/better alternatives. GrapheneOS works great for me but unfortunately it isn't a one size fits all situation. Some people just cannot use it for some business related reasons.

I agree but you don't even need GrapheneOS on an Android to install a #Nostr client on their phones. Just download the client apk files off of GitHub

Ive been loving Obtainium for keeping track of github .apks

I was anti Apple long before I knew about Bitcoin. Sometimes I surprise myself with how long I've been on the freedom path without even realizing it.

Yeah I've literally never owned an iPhone because they have never let you download & play FLAC music files on their phones. I've known for decades how shitty that company is
