I think the sample of people overstates the social affect (these are people who willing choose to be experimented on = 🐑) Aso the use of people who you would consider to be close peers (same age, race, education) probably skews the results, and I would bet they let them socialize in a waiting room before the test.

I believe an even more powerful social phenomenon is at play. My thesis: The conclusion of the research will coincide with the outcome that leads to the most funding for the researcher.
