Russia's demands for "peace" were that Ukraine would nearly eliminate its military, and they wanted veto power on anyone else helping defend Ukraine. Even from Russia themselves.

Obviously, Russia was just trying to make Ukraine defenseless for yet another invasion.

Ukraine already tried negotiating peace with Russia multiple times; Russia has broken those agreements each time. Peace agreements with Russia are worthless.
