nostr unix nerds assemble!

There should be a nostr relayer daemon relay similar to msmptq, so you can queue nostr notes for relay, and it will retry until you get an OK result.

This is important for retrying if you are offline, when the relay is down, or you are being temporarily rate limited. This daemon could implement this logic without your client having to do any of that hard work.

Would be great for shooting off notes locally from the command line, or you could just add this relay to your native unix client to have a reliable note relayer.

that is all.

Maybe a simple Kafka in a docker

are you trying to trigger me

No no this is obviously a case for AWS API Gateway + Lambda + SQS and don’t forget Cloudfront and WAF…and better make it multi region while we’re at it. Route53 latency based routing for the win!

💀

Great, a tool to mitigate a rate limit mitigation.

im sure the bots will love this tool

I need this for when your relay rate limits me 😜

most clients should be doing this anyways, damus ios does it. I assume amethyst does too or you would get a lot of notes sent into the void when you are not connected.

I post to my local relay and then rebroadcast when I'm back online 🥹

unix but not unix-like lol *fix'd*

I thought I was a unix nerd but I have never heard of msmptq
