AND ITS $100 PER YEAR?!

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s Am I missing something? Do I really have to pay $100/year for Apple Developer Tools to integrate Apple Pay into my website without using a Stripe Payment link?

yup

It ain’t much, if you plan to make a fortune 😂😂😂

I was hoping to make $100 😂

You cannot use Apple Pay directly and must use a payment processor

Just don’t

I thought that was the whole point of having a stripe account

Such a scam

It was unbelievable the amount of hoops I had to jump through just to eventually arrive at a paywall

You do not have to pay Apple for this

Just use Stripe

You can use Apple Pay through Stripe

But it’s through a “payment link” which is a redirect away from my site and adds extra steps to the UI

What I’m building required easy quick pay options otherwise I fear the UX will become poor and people will just not use it

Is there another way without stripe payment links?

Use Elements?

Hmmm.. that’s what I’ve been trying to use and I thought I needed an iOS certificate, but you’re right that’s just for iOS apps, not web domains (for which I’m already registered)

I’ve been able to populate a Apple Pay “Buy” button using Stripe Elements, and when I click it the iOS pop-up appears, but the payment always fails

I’ve tried with both test and live keys

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help! 🙏

Go to “payment method domains”

Add your domain

It’s already added

Did you verify it with Apple Pay by putting a file in /.well-known

Not so much a walled garden as it is a pretty prison
