Lots of places have trouble even opening WhatsApp videos (nostr.build doesn't take some of them). It could be something quite off the spec.

You mean if you try to download them from WhatsApp, through the web interface or something?
Didn't think of that, should be possible to get codec information that way and get close to what they achieve.
Yep, most videos people are trying to post on Amethyst come from What'sApp and they fail in many of the image hosting services we have today in Nostr.
