I like the protocol. I'd want to build on it and push it forward... but right now it feels like forcing myself to be naive again. I'd spend months building something that might not grow, or worse - watch it grow into something centralized. I don't see how I can be useful to Nostr right now.

Yes, there are other social networks... so I'll be everywhere and stop endorsing any specific one

Any decentralised protocol you prefer?

For private transactions Monero, for smart contracts and decentralized finance Ethereum :)

I was referring to communication and social media. None of those is very interesting to be, monero is too small (yet), eth has broken incentives (personal opinion, don’t feel the need to disprove me)

Yes, I know... I said the obvious, I don't see it so clearly within communication or social media. I like a lot of protocols, but I have no universal answers here

I'd have a hard time envisioning a scenario where Nostr becomes centralized... The architecture really seems to resist that.

I'd be more concerned about whether it ever gets traction in the first place.
