Thats not what this account is about and maybe the dynamic here is just not receptive to a news account.
The surprising thing is I get asked to post here all the time, yet when I do… crickets.
There is a successful news account here called the nostr report
Only does very few posts but gathers everything new, best dev work, most zapped, best meme that happened that day.
Maybe something like that would work for you npub style?
Perhaps it's because news itself isn't very engaging. I saw nostr:npub15h5n4muwsgxtc74hkcs9lp2ts7hdfdyvta4np7a7hfwfneqdeuls5qtl4k post about Suriname the other day. I read it and thought cool and kept scrolling. I want engagement and conversation. News is cool though.
Agreed, just brainstorming some thoughts that might help him pivot his content to connect more with the culture here.
I think news can be a conversation starter but to your point, a headline by itself probably won't get most people to engage

"Get over yourself" was a little rough. If I had to summarize, I'd say they meant you're not posting regularly enough to gain a following.
Engagement works both ways
Nostr can be hit and miss if your post gets seen because there is no algorithm pushing popular stuff to the top other than other people sharing stuff organically. If your model is to broadcast stuff, it is not going to work the same as other platforms. A few influencers have found the same 'issue', so don't take it personally. I think the organic nature of nostr is a strength because it developed a flatter network with less hierarchy. Nostr is also pretty saturated with Bitcoin stuff, so unless you are offering an exclusive take or something unique you will probably struggle to get the boosts. I usually appreciate your content and am glad you are posting here. Don't be discouraged because you are not getting the same response as on other platforms.
Yeah most of my posts are on U.K. time - mornings and early afternoon.
Looking at your profile, it seems like you have good engagement for the number of followers you have. Looking through your replies, it doesn't seem like you interact much outside of posting your own notes. Zapping, commenting, and reposting others notes is the way to connect with more people. The information exchange here is about building social and cultural capital via exchange of intellectual and experiencial capital. If you're not interacting and only posting it's a lot harder to grow. Also, the user base is still small so as I mentioned at the beginning, you are getting plenty of response to your notes relatively speaking.
