As a Data Analyst I get this question a lot, so here is the answer.

A statistician can tell you the probability of different outcomes or factors.

OR, an analyst tells you what the data means, but a statistician can give you an idea of what might happen in the future, or how it came to be.

I guess I'm thinking in terms of like data science and modelling etc
