On the suggestion of renaming Sats to Bits or Bitcoin for newbies.

For what it's worth, my 2 pennies of wisdom, I would like to point out that you all know what a penny is despite using dollars, pounds, Euros or something else as your local fiat currency.

That's it. That's the wisdom.

I always write my bakery recipes as "mix 0.000025 tons of flour, 0.000025 tons of sugar...". I also measure my screens in fractions of miles, my time in fractions of millenia and so on and so forth.

I cannot conceive someone might be able to have more than one unit for each measurement they do and naturally convert from one to other. Or even worse, be able to determine wich one is the appropriate one to use depending on the scale of what they are measuring.

I agree with this 1/1,000th of 100,000%

This sounds logical and well considered.

ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND?!!?!!??!!??

Thatโ€™s not the issue

The issue is that 17245 sats is 0.00017 BTC and thatโ€™s hard to read

I agree we need to standardise format, I don't like the second denomination, unless there's a number before the decimal.

It gets weird when you think however many sats you have, you have (sats x 10^-8) BTC

Stop it, your giving me heart palpitations ๐Ÿ˜…

So if I have 250,000 sats in my nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 wallet thatโ€™s 0.0025 BTC

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I donโ€™t even know how to say that ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I would tell you, but I have heart palpitations ๐Ÿ˜‚

How many yards on 17245 inches? No calculator.

479.028 yards

I didnโ€™t use a calculator

I used Google ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
