We all have uninformed opinions that we state as fact when presented with a discussion (bitcoin, at first) that doesn’t quite make sense to us. The sign of real intelligence is being able to identify that uninformed opinion and mitigate it.
Recently one of my oldest and dearest friends in tech blamed Bitcoin for the GPU shortage.
Bitcoin mining has not used GPU's since ~2013.
