Would be neat to see Ocean go the route that Coinkite has gone

Please elaborate. In what way?

I'm sub 80 but I thought coinkite isn't fully FOSS but it's super close to it, ocean could do the same thing

CoinKite has source viewable. Much better imho. But CoinKite isn’t talking about decentralizing mining.

Yeah the ocean guys making their stuff source viewable is what I would argue being a good option

Or don’t call it “transparent”

Weren't they just describing the block creation as transparent?

Probably. But Sv2 solves for that already and is FOSS (at least the SRI is)

This is good for bitcoin.

What is?

An honest attempt to improve mining decentralization is good for bitcoin.

Stratum v2 is open sorce.

Implement it however you want.

Sv2 SRI is yes, Ocean hasn't implemented Sv2 yet. Either way, you cannot run Ocean pool software, nor inspect the code. I don't know anything explicitly but it is sus to me. Why not FOSS?
