A monetary system's ability to allow for 'risk free yield' in a sense of 'Put your money here and watch it multiply' should not be understood as a desirable feature. This 'feature' appears to be much more of the undesirable default setting of a monetary system. The credible absence of risk free yield appears to be a killer feature, though.

Even if a monetary system was able to ensure equal & fair access to the magical money multiplicator for everyone (which is prbly impossible), it still seems inferior to a system that credibly & indiscriminately grants that stuff to noone.
