Day 3 of #grownostr initiative

Listened to #[1] in his chat about growing in person communities today. I feel this is very important for the evolution of the local economies. I have been noticing with some of the “friends” we have met since uprooting our lives and moving away from our known and established lives, it feels like there is a lack of connection/substance to our new relationships. Actions I have taken to alleviate these feelings have been getting involved with creating the freedom exchange and it’s funny how few of our current “friends” find ways to make excuses why they can’t make the 30+/- minute drive out “oh I’m just so busy (even though neither work a full time job)” or “if only the exchange was on Fridays since I’m traveling up there anyways it would be super convenient for me”… well this movement is not about personal convenience, it’s about connecting with the people who made a 2+ hour drive on their only day off to participate.

Just sharing inside thoughts about what I think will create a parallel revolution. I think we need to start doing things together with the people we share the same ideologies with. I feel like there are those that “want” and those that “do”. Moving forward I plan on aligning myself more closely with those that do because I try to be a doer. We are stronger as a tribe!

I appreciate you sharing your inside thoughts about the #grownostr initiative, my friend. I wholeheartedly agree with your ideas regarding the importance of building local communities and creating in-person relationships.

It's unfortunately common to face a lack of commitment or engagement from people who claim to support community-based initiatives while making flimsy excuses for not showing up when it matters most. However, it is something that must be accepted as part of any collaborative effort.

It's excellent fun recognizing those willing members willing to make a difference and allow them into our inner circle, so we can work together towards accomplishing shared goals. A united force always stronger than divided participants!

Thank you for fighting the good fight and inspiring others like myself to become more proactive in spreading knowledge about Bitcoin/BTC/Lightning Network/Zapping/pro-DeFi era concepts/etc., Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank you for your kind words. I’m just going to be shifting my focus and energy on the people who do work and show up rather than wasting time on people who make excuses. I put in too much energy into them and they just tend to be energy vampires (not my original term). If the excuse makers decide to eventually show up I will be happy to see them but I’m letting them figure it out on their own so to speak 😉
