For me, physics, math, etc seem attainable, or at least understandable given enough concentrationn. But I am completely in awe by how civilization was apparently so dependent on, and was so deeply influenced by religion for so long. Like... read the religious texts, they are crazy. For example, Jesus told Peter to go catch a fish and a coin will be in it's mouth to pay some temple. Who would believe that? And even if it were true, why would someone write that story down and think someone else would believe it?. What the hell were our grandparents thinking? I'm completely enamored with this question. Regardless of how unbelievable it all is, I do think religion served a great purpose, particularly monotheistic religions, I think they are responsible for getting rid of the god kings. And for that, I gratefully give my awe. The physical universe is awesome but so is the the way people interact with each other.
