Interesting, in many ways :

- human have the responsibility to not let a bag, a foot or a finger in a dangerous zone

- this is "optimized" in a way, no one have to wait the free box to came from the 20th floor just for you

- it is slower than modem ones, but it is faster than your feet

It would be interesting to know the energy efficiency and the user review of this system vs the modem ones on a full day.

I used to work for a company and they had an elevator like that. After a few years, the elevator was replaced by a conventional elevator for health and safety reasons 🤷

Yea I imagine the key to keeping them running OK is not having slow or stupid people using them. Also nobody in wheelchairs
