having way more trouble finding a reasonably priced used truck than I expected

have a theory that inflation is felt in the truck market first

On the other hand, there is a glut of new trucks. Inventory overload and price wars coming.

alpha in every way.

How would you know, you are just now in 2023 looking for a truck. 😂

my current truck is a 2007 and still running, need a second

I'll see myself out to my truck. ☠️

Wait until after tax refund season is over. Prices have been falling and come June they will go off a cliff.

Sold a used truck for way more than what I bought it for.. crazy market

Wen ⚡️ wallet set 🆙?

Let me know if you need help.

100%. Used trucks are going for same price or more than new right now.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They have been for a while. Last 8-10 years. Trucks have become a status symbol on par with Cameros and Porsches. Just a different demographic

I have about 300 trucks in my current fleet. From 1/2 ton to 1 ton. Service bodies, short bed, long bed, crew cab, gas, and diesel you name it. I used to be very standardized. Past few years I get what I can get. Some of my trucks where a year out when ordered.

I have recently noticed 1/2 tons are coming around. Our market area is heartland from Canada to Mexico. Could be different on the coasts.

This doesn’t include my Toyota 4Runner/SUV fleet for my I&E techs. Whole other battle….

This is due to the chip shortage crisis, so if you want to order a new truck it will take you more than a year to receive it.

So people are now buying used cars generally which is driving the demand up, hence the prices.

Beat me to it! Adam is a stud

Truck and barter

Might in part be due to downstream effects of supply chain issues and people keeping and repairing what they have instead of buying from limited new stock

Since COVID it’s felt like the used car market has been insane 🤯.

Good luck 🫡 🍀🤙.

306000 on my 2010 tundra and still trucking

Look up btccars

Dot com

Trucks are always pricey, but this is obv exacerbated by inflation, supply chain issues, etc. The good news is they tend to hold their value a little better.

Having a similarexperienced with SUVs

Market is asburd.

I've noticed the same. Trucks are more expensive than other vehicles. Is it monetization of their utility? I need one for work, I am currently driving a 2000 Silverado 1500 with 204k miles but need to replace it within 20k miles (per my mechanic). I feel your pain

My last one of those made it to 315k!! Where there's a will there's a way, keep giving it love haha

You can find some decent luck at auto auctions near you. That is where most used car salesmen find inventory not traded in.

It used to be the case that inflation sent truck prices downward because inflation sent fuel prices upward. That was normal. This is clown world.

So in 1913, 35 paper dollars and an ounce of gold(pegged @ $35 an oz)were sealed in a time capsule. Today, they opened the capsule up. So what do we have? We have $35 paper dollars and.. an ounce of gold going for $2026.00 an oz. Seems the FED has been destroying value, with corrupt politician help, for a long time.

Just had this issue couple months ago, but a used ford F150 for work for like 3x the price I thought it would be…

Was really hoping gas prices would skyrocket so demand would drop but that didn’t really culminate
