Asking as someone who doesn't own Pixel yet but plans to - why it is the worst hardware?

My daughter had one .. it just crashed and then I tried every bit to revive it through firmware..and what not .. never worked ..thankfully google gave us some trade in ..

My wife is another Pixeler and her phone is always messed up .. may be it is her 😭 ..

Samsung devices are way sturdier .. in my mind ...but I thought Apples are more pervasive ..

I too had very pleasant experience with Samsung, their software is extremely reliable. As for Pixel issues I would like to know more what exactly was broken in your case, I would like to research how common that problem is.

As for Apple aren't they too heavily locked? Don't get me wrong but I would not call Apple as tech-savy user friendly, they seem to not intended for any kind of system-level customizations.

Love my Pixel 6a. Camera is average, other than that it's been a very reliable device! 👍

I thought people bought pixels only for camera ..

Maybe it is, but I am not interested in camera at all unlike GrapheneOS

Not sure - maybe the newer ones?

I bought the cheapest one I could find just to try out Graphene. I liked it enough to ditch the iPhone and I'm still using it a year later.

I don't really care about the camera personally though.

Probably if you run stock Android and use Google Photos the Pixel Camera experience is more powerful.

The FOSS options for gallery+image editing and filters are pretty poor imo.

Overall, the iPhone > Graphene transition requires a lot of adjustments but the freedom gained is immense.
