Privacy LARPers everywhere.

I legit see nobody talking about setting up a device not tied to your identity.

With a tested faraday bag to bring it home with you.

& only used on public networks (Starbucks etc.).

It’s not really that hard to leave your phone at home and go buy a phone with cash and set it up at Starbucks… you can make the faraday bag too if ya really wanted…

It's not hard & yet no one does it.

They LARP harder & dance around it.

The faraday bag is important, I wouldn't make it yourself unless you're sure it works well.

You probably need two anyways, so you don't need to leave your phone at home.

Also,

Make sure to put your phone in the faraday bag wayyyy before you get to your destination...

Plan the trip out of your way in a none traceable way, change of clothes in you backpack with an extra backpack, change in a busy areas bathroom,…

I agree with having multiple faraday pouches/bags/backpacks.

Yes you should probably buy em, but they can be made.

And yes most people have no idea about real opsec

Have the device but set it up on home wifi tho -.- i guess bad?

Yeah you now have zero peace of mind.

Privacy is a game of elimination & threat reduction.

The second you trip over a wire the entire setup has to be considered PWND.

I dont pay for the home wifi. Its someone else (payment info atleast)

Look, end of the day there's levels to it.

There's the pinnacle, and then there's everything downstream to it.

For ex, using your phone in the same location as the privacy focused device.

Some people don't need this level of privacy or don't want to put in the effort for the benefit.

Hmmm. Fair fair.
