I tried straight cocoa coir last year and had mediocre results from seed starts. This year I moved to Fox Farm Ocean soil and man… these seedlings are explosive with life. Next year I will make my own blend of with the compost I’ve been making which will save some $$$

These are the best results I've gotten starting seeds and I'm not sure why. I think it might be the soil mix which is regular bagged potting soil that was left out over the rainy winter to soak up water and begin decomposing.
