🫂 It wasn’t until I got small (the 4” x 4” sketchbook) that I’ve kept up with daily drawings.

And I know/find out with some things that I like the end result and process more if I spend a block of time on it, then ignore it for 1-2 days. That’s what I discovered with the magazine collages- having a 2 hour binge session was more fun and interesting because I got to know the images and when I had an idea, I could find the page/segment o wanted to better realize what was in my head. With the half hour daily sessions, I liked what I created, but it felt fragmented and isolated and I kept looking at the same pages and forgetting what I wanted from them.

Being an artist is this weird juggling act of discipline and fuck it I’m doing something different now. 🤷
