A few months ago I gave talk in which I talked about what life is like under Monetary Authoritarianism

I mentioned how I used to pay salaries for my company's employees in 2011:

Flying to US, buying iPhones, glueing them to my body, selling them for pesos.

Rinse and repeat every month.

Well, Milei just made it legal to pay salaries in anything, including bitcoin.

Yeah, of course, you could already use bitcoin for this because bitcoin DGAF, but the fact you can do this legally is useful for those that find themselves still tied to that system.

Politicians can go fuck themselves, but it's worthwhile noticing when some freedom-restrictions are removed.

Hopeful for Argentina. They could end up being a prime example of “less regulation = more prosperity”

Milei is the first libertarian president. This succeeding could help give the libertarian ideas a boost all over the world.

Exactly. In time Milei and Bukele I think will be imitated throughout LATAM and eventually much of the world. Bottom up wealth and prosperity with Bitcoin and freedom as catalysts.

What do you mean you taped them to your body? How does help anything? In 2011, you wouldn't make it through a metal detector with iPhones taped to your body. Why not just take them in carry on or checked luggage?

When entering argentina they didn't put you through a metal detector but they did all your bags and suitcases

So you taped them to your body while you were on the plane?? That's wild

after landing, before going through customs 😅

Interesting!

What about the glue part? Traveling by air means you go through metal detectors ... I'm confused.

How are the protests against Milei going? He's taking radical measures and I fear for the project.

iPhones would go on my carry on during the flight, once I landed, before going through argentinean customs, go to the bathroom, tape them under my shirt, walk through customs, xray suitcases, walk out and tape them off.

So wait… you can pay wages in iPhones now?

Si el baño del baggage claim en Ezeiza hablara... 🤣

Amazing. 👍
