Just uninstalled Simple Gallery and replaced with Aves....kinda like it and I feel better now.
simple mobile tools is in the process of being bought by non-privacy respecting ZipoApps.
if you use any of the simple apps on android (like me) because you wanted a solid privacy-respecting app, didn't want ads or privacy-invasive tracking...read the article below.
a fork is happening, but either way, it looks like it's time to jump ship...now

awesome. tbh, wasn't a huge fan of aves when i tried it, but if it comes down to it. ok. i like that it's on #accrescent. hopefully #fossify will carry the torch. simple gallery wasn't perfect, but it was the best privacy respecting, open source photo app out there imo

i'm looking for alternatives and will check out aves.. calendar seems more difficult to find a good one that allows import/export of ics files..
any additional info on fossify? like when and where maybe?
my bad.. just found fossify on github, but the apps don't seem quite ready yet..
