Why run your own website + blog when you have https://habla.news and longform nostr notes!? This dramatically lowers the barrier to sovereign publishing on the web. nostr:note10rusmn9dwmjew3ft4667nsjk2qt7t8xjs357wxcv995twvxja02qsaglqc

On a sidenote - I think we also need static pages on Nostr. It can be markdown based to push towards meaningful bytes only, but all other ingredients are there.

And if you think about the implications of that, it will blow your mind. What other network has static pages that are linked to each other? 😮

Isnt this just habla ? Unless you’re referring to more caching

I think the UI and UX implies how it will be used. Habla is like medium, so people will post long articles.

What I think is missing is static pages (~websites), like my homepage, or company homepage, or just content registries.

One could imagine that you could share a book this way. I'm imagining something like this experience https://thenetworkstate.com/preamble

Or for example it would be cool to see a news servers fully served from the nostr relay swarm. E.g. why can't this page https://www.economist.com/ be served from nostr? It's daily updated repository of news and articles. Nostr static page could do the same.

It's a separate topic, but it would also be really cool if it's all based on markdown, so the clients can compete on who provides the best experience.

I already prerender all the content statically for certain users. Check https://habla.news/verbiricha/references for an article or https://habla.news/jb55 for a profile.

This sounds similar to what #[5] is building with Nostr Sites.

Thanks #[4]!

Yeah this is what https://nostrsites.com does. It’s very new and I’m working on some templates, but there is also a markdown to html converter.

At https://nostr.report we pull all sorts of data directly from nostr. Nostr is definitely going to change the entire internet 🤙

That's cool; I've been thinking of doing a bible app on Nostr which would be a lot like this I think.
