I realized that the last time I sat down and really listened to a whole music album was Daft Punk’s Random Access Memory.

Since then, the music in my life was just endless similar-sounding slop that Spotify spoonfed me while I was working.

I felt starved for great music today, so I googled “best album of 2024” and went through a few listicles from various online music magazines. I was horrified how stupid most of it sounds, but then I found this:
