YES. That’s EXACTLY what most influencers want. Those on nostr want the status quo of social media without censorship.
Most influencers are building a brand for the sole purpose of marketing it.
Not one - not ONE - can be trusted with anything they say. That doesn’t mean value can’t be had in what they say, but ulterior motives that don’t have the masses best interest at heart should always be assumed.
Find me someone influential who refuses to post click bait, refuses zaps, and redirects their traffic to good projects. These are a vanishingly small subset. These are the ones with high quality signal.
I also want to add that some influencers are up front with their mission. This is to be commended.
