One thing that doesn't get talked about ever, is what left-progressives, libertarians and anarchists all have in common: they all have excessively romantic notions about unconstrained human nature. The power structures they're focused on don't necessarily overlap in big ways. But the mistake is the same.

I think it’s not just romantic views of human nature. Many I’ve noticed seem excessively confident in their ability to rely entirely on themselves for subsistence and/or underestimate how bleak that can be.

Well, you're explaining something they're romantic about.

I typically differentiate one’s views of human nature at large vs one’s views of themselves. Fair to point out that they are really one and the same.

Only left-progressives?

I never met a libertarian with a romantic notion about human nature. Quite the opposite.
