Many people try to tell others how they should be living their life with vague statements of advice that they aren't actually following themselves.

It is often more effective to instead inspire others through real examples and the actions in your own life.

Action principle.

People are often quite loose with their words.

Truth! And with today’s media it’s hard to provide more than a few sentences of “advice” which typically lacks nuance.

Yeah definitely. I see the same sort of thing in the media, on social media and even to some extent with people I come across in real life.

Yes! There is also a lot of value in sharing what didn’t work out too as others can learn from your mistakes but if someone simply just says “don’t do this” without justification I won’t take much notice of it.

Advice is usually a self serving statement by someone to retroactively justify their own choices, and isn’t really meant to benefit the recipient
