It’s just different than tweeter I think.
I haven’t really looked into other relays.
But I’m a simpleton. I don’t care for engagement. Just like to keep on getting a better feed

I’m pretty new to it too, at least new to regular use. I stopped using it for a while when Damus removed zaps to placate Apple.
Recently found out that iPhones can use Primal (thanks to nostr:npub1q7why7lw8kq9ufr43ps75ngz3vhx5duqt7xmgklcq3dljqqfjegq2km2vr at the vBTC retreat) and can give zaps. Then I found the add in for Damus that allows zaps again (can’t recall its name or link).
So now I use both Primal and Damus on my iPhone. Damus loads quicker most of the time and notifications are quicker, but Primal has a UI that I find more appealing.
Tigs is a real nostr guru and is very happy to help people.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong.
