Yeah, it must be a #Freerse bug. He's been struggling to get the mutes right, for a while. At least, we now know where it comes from.

Which version of Freerse are you using? The issue of muted accounts has been resolved in version 1.5.8. I haven't encountered a similar issue yet.

This is true, I saw it happen

1.5.9 made mutes persistent, but this weird hex-transfer to relays has happened to me, before and after.

Yes, I tested it and reproduced the problem. Note it down.
