I guess it’s time for an #introduction. I’m Ash, I live on a small homestead in Northern Maine. My husband and I met on a white water canoe trip many, many years ago, hence the name of our farm. I’m a homeschooling Mom of two teenagers who really don’t need me for that purpose anymore, but I digress. I grew up on a farm, spent my husband’s military years between Maine and Alaska learning whatever skills I could to be as self sufficient as possible, and now we’ve gotten to settle in our forever home carving a little homestead out of the Maine woods. We’re not off grid but we try really hard to raise most of our own food. I’m a soap and salve maker, my husband is a Maine Guide, and we operate a small firewood business.
