Thanks! This was built using Claude Code Pro Sonnet 4.5. I have an annual subscription, so there are no metered costs. The sessions have usage limits but I don’t really mind because it forces me to come up for air, and it’s not like I have 10 hours a day to vibecode anyway.

There’s no way I’m aware of to convert an nsec to a seed phrase, but one unique aspect of my wallet is that it stores an encrypted backup of its private key on your relays so as long as you can access your nsec your wallet is recoverable, even if you lose the seed phrase or local encrypted backup file, which I also provide.

How does this work? Can it be used with an existing nsec or do you have to start fresh?

Not sure. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Likely a fresh start. If I create a new nsec in Amber I get a pass phrase. If it is an external created nsec I don't get the option.

There’s a login option where you can enter your nsec.

I don’t enter my nsec into websites.

You can use an extension also.

But it doesn’t do the one thing we were discussing, which is to generate a seed phrase from an existing nsec.

Ah, hadn’t read the whole thread properly. Generally you create an nsec from a seed phrase and not the other way round.

Beauty. I need to try Claude, everyone talks about it as the gold standard.

Glad others are thinking on Seed based NSEC. This is helpful function IMO since a seed can be remembered mentally, not so much an NSEC.

Plus, NSEC/NPUB is confusing for noobs I think. The more we simplify, the easier we onboard.
