Please do this. Sometimes I’ve accidentally posted GIFs from Tenor that were like 25MB uncompressed and they completely broke Damus.
I just grab the tenor gif-hyperlink and post that.

Already doing for GIFs, when you upload them. Can’t do anything for external links that do not hit our endpoint 🐶🐾🫡
How much compression are you doing on these? This one in particular looks pretty cruddy on my phone when I blow it up.
