i just want to rub this in for the dumbass #rust and #javascript devs

see that

that's how much time it takes for me to rebuild my relay after changing all those files you see in the git pull output

you just can't do that with your shitty languages, on a 1gb machine, and even with 16gb not in that time

cry harder about how stupid us Gophers are

Well who cares about build times unless a project has less than 1m+ LOC.

who cares about people who think lines of code full of the same shit repeated from 5 other places in the repo?

not me, welcome to my mute list

I let #go, for simplicity and good performance nothing beats it, but I also like #rust though, for when safety absolutely has to be the highest priority.

"safety"

if you actually understood what safety Rust supposedly provides you'd understand that Go has been doing that with its GC since day one

zero chance of stack smashing attacks, page violations, or buffer overflow/injection attacks

also zero chance of reading data out of recycled memory areas, Go ALWAYS zeroes everything

#rust GC doesn't actually guarantee zeroing all memory #golang does

you probably didn't know that but you're welcome

your image doesn't load for me

that's a shame that you have a filter that is blocking my personal VPS based in Sofia, Bulgaria

bulgaria has some of the best network infra in the world, but sadly, a lot of scammers operate there too

Why would someone be willing build software on cheapest VPS possible?

i literally can

can you?

yes, if you use mine or other Go apps

Yes you can, but why would you?

I prefer building on my 12 cores 24 threads machine.

if you don't, you will wait until lunchtime after waking up to start it

meanwhile i've done that 100 times by that point in the day with my code

Maybe you could make a script for that if it's always the same task?

no need, Go tool manages that

default cargo setting blatts the whole CPU at the task, there is an option to limit the number of threads but i literally had a rust compilation fail due to OOM kill on my pc just a couple of weeks ago, i don't even know what to say

i have 64gb of memory on this machine, DDR4, 3200Mhz

you pigs are so greedy and stupid you don't even realise that half the world that can write code doesn't even have 4gb of memory to scrape together
