I'd love to try planting sweet potato this year. But it would have to work in a container.

I've put some in containers before, just placed a section of wire in there for them to climb. But it works.

They also work famously in straw bales.
Ok. Don't have those but good to know. I'm working on a backyard garden. So everything has to be small scale. Hence the container.
Ooooh! Fun, go for it! I love seeing what people can cram into a tiny space. I assumed soil quality. I’m in terribly clay, and harvest would be nearly impossible.
In that case, look up how people do it in $1.25 Tree laundry hampers or in sacks, grow bags, whatever your area calls them.
