🇭🇳 The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, through the Ministry of Economy, presented to the Legislative Assembly a project with which he seeks to reform the Law on the Issuance of Digital Assets enacted last year and also modify the application of the Bitcoin Law. .

⚖️ The National Digital Assets Commission would be the entity in charge of applying the new Bitcoin Law. There is an annex with new obligations that exchanges must comply with, which, among other things, will have to be registered and implement anti-money laundering measures.

📄 The project establishes preventive regulations to reduce risks in the market and increases penalties for those who operate without authorization. In fact, it applies the freezing of funds and the seizure of assets, in case irregularities are detected.

👀 Bukele's new project comes a few days after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) highlighted progress in talks with the Government of El Salvador.

And what do you think about this?🤔

I think he probably wants to remain alive so he'll do what he's told, when it comes down to it.

He makes a lot of noise to me but at the end of the day he is just another politician who seeks to make a living from those of us who produce

I don't think so. I think he's honest, and I think he's doing what he can to help the people in his country.

There is no doubt about that. but the FMI giving the ok and supporting everything is not a good sign... Bukele may have the best intentions but the FMI emmmm let's say that history does not support it

Yes. Like I said, they probably made him an offer he couldn't refuse, so to speak. "If you want to live, you'll do this". And it's done
