Oh cool! I’ve been thinking of doing stuff like videos of everything, from shopping to feeding them, maybe alternating between shops and so on…

But then again it will always be about building trust anyway, and as already is happening some will project their own corruption onto it regardless of how it’s done!

On a micro scale like this I hope no sane person think I’d pull off a complicated scam for something like 50 bucks in total haha…

If I can get a good setup then this could easily scale of course, I would not mind involving local, trusted organizations at all, or maybe clinics that can be checked if I could ever get around to getting that sort of support happening :-)

That’s awesome. Indeed the key is to build trust and arrange a scalable setup to have more positive impact in the future.

I am into creating an app so it is possible to buy local craft beer using Bitcoin and Lightning! And want to be 100% open about finances… plan to sell the products for their cost (I partner with local stores) and charging (and advising) an extra for collaborating with the project to pay servers and the whole operation. Maybe you could do something alike. Have a website where donors can see how much cans of food you bought that month, you expenses, donation goals and how much you could cover.

Complementing that with nice pictures of the happyness you are delivering would be great!

Yes that is the goal, right now checking on how to make Alby wallet public, I have some time for this that is spread out randomly

Why not scale it into something commercial when it’s about beer? But also starting out completely open source and idealistic is a very good idea :-)

Could be commercial yes. If it turns out that exists real interest on the service could sell directly one day here in Brazil (lot of work to register a retail though) As a side project now, main thing is to try to deliver real value, listed to the feedback, improve the app, and look for other retail partners interested in selling through the app and accepting Bitcoin, that’s the goal, give people willing to use Bitcoin as a medium of exchange a fair, transparent option. If you know any craft beer store that might be interested to join in your community let me know!

Can’t get mixed up with stores on the ground here personally right now, but if you get it to scale later I might find some you could contact of course :-)
