Most people I know fight them for the grass as cattle feed. The cows don’t like the pricks either and loose pasture to them. They spread quickly, grow 6’+ and are perennial.(die back to root and resprout) great for butterflies and the like though. Technically illegal to let grow on your property but the government was first to stop trying so it’s too hypocritical for them to enforce it.

These are just along our easement road and no grazable land anywhere close.

I like them for the pollinators but I am sure the county/township will be by soon to spray some nasty shit along the road and it will die. If someone on the road is around when they come to do it, we turn them away. If no one is home they just do as they please and spray regardless of signage or calling to stop them.
