Honestly, it may be that the faster states like California & NY collapse the better. We need the worst states to be clear examples of what not to do.

To be fair California at one time voted to deny state benefits to illegals
It was ruled unconstitutional by a judge with a certain early life background
It's not that I think there aren't any sane people left in California, it's just that the political system there seems so thoroughly corrupted that I think it's headed in one direction no matter what anyone there actually wants.
