I had an interesting talk today with a colleague!

We talked about bitcoin with its characteristics of gold and that it's a good store of value.

He said he already researched about bitcoin but he was afraid of buying bitcoin because of it's volatility. Reasonable, so I explained him DCA. For him it was new because he didn't know that he can buy Satoshis, a fraction of bitcoin, instead of a whole bitcoin.

That was mind changing for him an he asked me how to buy bitcoin.

I will explain him soon. But first we made him a Wallet at Phoenix and I send him 21000 sats and told him to buy a ice cream or a beer in a nearby beer garden.

We are still early! Mainstream doesn't know the value and the capability of bitcoin. Also for me it was interesting to rethink how to Orangepillen and talk to people, because sometimes it's just a little misunderstanding or misinformation that keeps people away of bitcoin.

Alot of people still think you have to buy a whole bitcoin. There needs to be mass education introduced to eliminate myths around what it is and how to buy it

It just dawned on me people don't understand this.

I was buzzedsplaining Bitcoin to my family a couple weeks ago and they kept asking how do they get 1 Bitcoin and I felt uncomfortable they want to jump in that hard for a first purchase and started rambling about multisigs 😂

Happens to me all the time. They get surprised when I tell them you can buy it in any amount

Great suggestion. However you need to store and collect satoshi’s in order to buy the price of a beer or sandwich. And it is not easy to collect satoshi.

That's true. I think to buy your groceries with Bitcoin in your daily life is still far far away, at least for western countries.

Their must be a basic understanding and trust in Bitcoin in the society.

One more thing bitcoin is limited so only limited people can own bitcoin or satoshi. So it will be a first cone first serve. But the good thing of bitcoin it is decentralized.
