That wire is just touching the ground surface. The only rodents that make a mess of my garden are squirrels. They just climb over and dig away.

The rabbits haven’t been a problem yet, they always just eat the grass and clover.

Periodically, I will sprinkle dried chicken shit pellets over the entire garden, this is great for the plants, but also helps to deter the squirrels for at least 2wks or so.

This year we planted beef & grape tomatoes, carrots, red, yellow & white onions, garlic, red potatoes, red & green peppers, romaine lettuce, kale, broccoli, cucumber and sweet baby watermelon

They’re very tame around here, you can usually get within a few feet of them.

No, it’s been pretty good. He mows my grass and trims my shrubs for me. My wife would likely kill me if I caught it to eat
