i originally thought likes were unnecessary on nostr. now i think they seriously hurt the core functioning of nostr. nostr will suffer as long as the like button stays on clients by default.
Likes are fine.
not every nostr user is a bitcoiner.

nostr won’t be able to compete with mainstream social media if it doesn’t pick a side. it needs a clear differentiator. trying to play both sides will only hold it back.
