i believe in the protocol of nostr
the parts i understand anyway
and really really early days fine
when im inside pubkey ..
going down the steps into a punk dive is my people
the stickers on the walls and writing in the bathrooms is my people
the bartenders are my people
the people that go there to drink are not my people
in fairness, many a gig in the bowery, many places ive been in
sure, total fairness, have never walked into a place in nyc and said: my people
so maybe that is a really hight bar upon reflection
if there was ever a place it was cameo gallery tho
and it doesnt exist anymore
that had more to do with liking the venue and the yarn installation on the ceiling tho
and sure ok union pool there was a time i couldnt go there without my people actually there so in that case, cant say: not my people when i would literally be one of the people responsible for getting any of those people home safely
but otherwise no people not my people ðŸ˜
im not really a city person 🫤
or a suburb person 🫤
or a rural person 🫤
i think im meant to live in a cave or in a tent on a dock or on a mattress floating in a lake with an umbrella
in this way do i feel like the people down at mcmurdo, if they were to read this, would be like: yea, she's one of ours
