Going through the garden this morning. Everything is growing great just planted some melons cucumbers, kale.

Aquaponics system with koi, goldfish and minnows. Propagating mulberry, mint, bottlebrush.

I bought a wen chipper from Amazon for about $100. I chipped up a 5 gallon bucket of biochar in about 10 minutes. The only thing I did was wet down the biochar so that it wouldn’t be as dusty. I did wear a mask. Worked really well, just waiting for my woodpile to dry.

If anyone is around Houston, and wants some free elderberry plants send me a message. I have too many at this point thanks

Your gardens look amazing😊

I think the shade cloth will help a lot this year. Brussels sprouts are growing so slow. :)

Shade cloth is something i have been thinking about too.

Yeah, I’m using the cattle panels from tractor supply. The reusable zip ties Jack recommends. I think I have a 10’x20’ roll over all the beds.

Good idea.

Outstanding! 🌱

Elderberry! 🤙

Love it, I do wonder how small the wen can get the biochar.

It’s about rice size or smaller. Overall looks perfect to me. I was crushing with shovel. Only downside is you have to load a little, use the push stick to get it in. I need a large funnel or something.

Looks great. How do you take care of plants under your shadecloth arch? I don't see any way to reach plants in the middle

4x8 beds with 1’ space in between. I have reusable zip ties on the shade cloth for now. I’ll roll up or down and redo zip ties.

Here is a better picture

There is much more room than the first pictures led me to believe.

I like using these hog panels for making arches for trellises and greenhouses. This winter I kept my chickens in a hog panel greenhouse. I just attached my small chicken tractor.

Awesome, we’ll see how long the panels last, slight rust already. Very humid down in Houston :)

I would guess a very long time. It is likely just surface rust. I have seen old fences made with these, they were covered in rust, but seemed fine. Posts will need replaced before the fencing.

Do you still have elderberries left?

Yup, message for address.
