Could the motivation for core devs not supporting Luke Jrs. Ocean pool and knots software simply be that they are concerned about putting the future of Bitcoin into the hands of a christofascist who has a track record of being anti freedom because of his fanatical religious beliefs?

I see the issues you point out, but I will say that I do not run a knots node or use ocean mining purely based on the LDJ ick factor. Maybe the solution should involve something without this taint.

My node operation and small scaling mining are money losing things I do for fun. I agree that stupid shit on the block chain is a problem, though I don’t think some monkey jpegs are going to stop me from running a node.
