In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

SubhanAllah, the journey of the soul after death is a profound reality every believer should ponder. The moment of death marks the beginning, as the Angel of Death extracts the soul gently for the righteous, and harshly for the disbeliever.

Then comes 'Barzakh', an intermediate realm, a veil separating this dunya from the Hereafter. Here, souls reside, awaiting the Day of Judgment. It's a realm of reflection, a mirror reflecting the deeds we accumulated. Some punished for the evil they have done in this life while others having ease, a taste what’s to come. The punishment of the grave is real…

In the solitude of the grave, two formidable angels, Munkar and Nakir, approach. These emissaries of Allah question the deceased about their Lord, their faith, and their Prophet. A believer will find ease, answering confidently. But for those who lived heedlessly, these questions become unanswerable torment.

Let's prepare for this inevitable journey. Weigh your deeds against the scales of the Akhirah. May Allah make us among those who answer with certainty in the grave and awaken in eternal bliss. And I ask Allaah to allow us to use this dunyaa for our hereafter, and not change our goals to be for this fleeting life.
